A Few Words On Writing

Bleeding pages

Writing is never simple
Words take on life
They breathe and live
Pages take on character
As the writer weaves a story
It's not always easy
To care for certain words lovingly

Sometimes what's written,
Isn't comforting

Sometimes all you can do is
Beat the words into submission
To get the release you crave

I actually was thinking about this today. A lot of people write to create a place they'd rather be than here. But all the stories in my head are sad and times are hard in those universes. I wonder if that's weird?
